Despite the difficult economic and political situation in the country, 23% of SMB companies in Ukraine project financial growth within the year. 64% of these optimistic market players make use of information technologies, in particular cloud-computing, according to an Ipsos MORI survey ordered by Microsoft.
According to the survey, 85% of small and 66% of mid-sized companies are using new technologies in their business.
Generally speaking, 71% of respondents indicated that they use cloud services such as email, data-storage and document-sharing, instant-messaging and office products to increase the efficiency of their businesses.
75% of respondents said that using modern technology is critical for the success of the business at which they work. However, 58% responded that their companies have invested an insufficient amount in IT. One-third of representatives from the surveyed companies said that additional investment in IT would help their businesses by improving the level of customer-service (40%), productivity (43%), and employee-loyalty (35%).
“Today’s IT solutions significantly impact the performance of companies , regardless of their size or the market in which they operate. These studies confirm that technologically-heeled companies feel safer and more confident in challenging conditions than those that use outdated technology,” said Natalia Burlakova, leader of theMicrosoft Office business group at Microsoft Ukraine.
