Technologically heeled companies are more optimistic about the future

Despite the difficult economic and political situation in the country, 23% of SMB companies in Ukraine project financial growth within the year. 64% of these optimistic market players make use of information technologies, in particular cloud-computing, according to an Ipsos MORI survey ordered by Microsoft.

According to the survey, 85% of small and 66% of mid-sized companies are using new technologies in their business.

Generally speaking, 71% of respondents indicated that they use  cloud services such as email, data-storage and document-sharing, instant-messaging  and office products to increase the efficiency of their businesses.

75% of respondents said that using modern technology is critical for the success of the business at which they work. However, 58% responded that their companies have invested an insufficient amount in IT. One-third of representatives from the surveyed companies said that additional investment in IT would help their businesses by improving the level of customer-service (40%), productivity (43%), and employee-loyalty (35%).

“Today’s IT solutions significantly impact the performance of companies , regardless of their size or the market in which they operate. These studies confirm that technologically-heeled companies feel safer and more confident in challenging conditions than those that use outdated technology,” said Natalia Burlakova,  leader of theMicrosoft Office business group at Microsoft Ukraine.

60 Ukrainian SMBs participated in this Europe-wide survey.
