GitLab, a unicorn with Ukrainian roots, raises $20 million from Goldman Sachs

Last week GitLab, a San Francisco-based open-source software startup founded by Ukrainian entrepreneur Dmitry Zaporozhets, has raised $20 million from Goldman Sachs, as announced Tuesday.

Just months ago, the company completed a $100 million Series D round led by Iconiq Capital, reportedly bringing its valuation to over $1 billion.

Last year, GitLab raised $20 million in a Series C round led by GV, formerly known as Google Ventures.
