Last week Uber launched its food delivery service Uber Eats in Ukraine’s capital. The service is available via a mobile app or through the company’s website.
Uber has partnered with 200 restaurants in Kyiv. In order to promote the service here, Uber Eats offers free deliveries until the end of February. It aims to deliver food within 35 minutes but admits that at the moment deliveries will take longer than that.
Uber first rolled out its taxi service in Ukraine in June 2016. Since then, it has expanded its coverage to seven cities: Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhya, and Vinnytsia. Among its rivals is Uklon, a local company which still occupies a bigger share of the market.
