Finnish fund backs Ukrainian business analytics service

Kira, a Ukrainian startup developing an analytics solution for small and medium-sized online businesses, recently received funding form the Finnish Venture Fund Icebreaker.vc.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed, but Kira told AIN.UA that it was valued in the deal at €1.3 million. The Ukrainan tech blog recalls Kira’s long and difficult way to get support in Ukraine, finally leading to find a Finnish investor.

The funding will be spent on R&S, marketing and new team members.

Kira’s back office is headquartered in Kyiv, but the team plans to open an office in Helsinki this year, then to raise $2 million and test the waters in the US market.
