Online ad platform ClickGanic raises $300,000 and prepares itself for international expansion

Last month, ClickGanic, an online ad platform based in Kyiv (Kiev) and launched in February of this year, secured a $300,000 investment from business angel Evgeny Medvednikov and Clickky, an internationally oriented Ukrainian company offering a mobile app marketing platform.

The deal valued ClickGanic at $557,000 (pre-money), 24-year-old co-founder Evgeny Kukharchuk told Ukraine Digital News. The startup had previously raised $20,000 in smart money from Odessa-based startup incubator WannaBiz.

A startup incubator based in Odessa, in the South of Ukraine, WannaBiz is headed by Vadim Rogovskiy, who also is the founder and CEO of Clickky.

ClickGanic offers a solution for websites, blogs and social network pages to create and increase ad revenue flows. It claims that it will turn a profit in its first year, receiving over 1.5 million hits per day.

The startup will use investor money to create an automated advertising platform with an open advertising exchange, and finish development of the service’s micro-targeting system. ClickGanic currently has a team of four employees – two developers, one account manager and one business developer – according to Kukharchuk.

With its Russian-only website, ClickGanic looks like many Ukrainian Internet startups, which are oriented in priority towards the domestic market as well as the neigboring Russian-speaking markets, including Russia itself.

However, ClickGanic is already international. “We are working from Ukraine, but our company has been registered in Scotland, we have partners all over the CIS [former Soviet republics] region, and 90% of our revenues are coming from abroad,” explains Kukharchuk.

“The CIS is our test market for the product. We are planning to start working with US and European markets in December 2014,” the entrepreneur added.
