The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) invites Ukrainian tech entrepreneurs working in family justice and SME empowerment to participate in its acceleration program with a chance to secure up to €160,000 in acceleration funding, with each winner raising some €20,000-35,000.
The program targets unique legal technology startups. To apply, a project has to be scalable and sustainable, as well as be able to have an impact on a large number of people. This year, the accelerator is strongly focusing on Ukrainian startups.
“We see a tremendous opportunity for justice innovation in Ukraine,” said Wilfried de Wever, Head of HiiL’s justice accelerator. “Wherever high tech savvy meets big justice needs, there’s always a room for innovators to succeed.”
The selected startups will benefit from mentoring, as well as crowdfunding via the HiiJ platform. In December, finalists will pitch to raise funding in the Hague.
What is more, the winners will enjoy additional acceleration, partner-matching, and exposure to the HiiL’s international network, which includes investors, in 2017.
- The application is open until June 30, 2016. For more information, please contact Dmitry Foremnyi at dmitry.foremnyi[at]hiil.org and innovatingjusticeforum[at]hiil.org.
