Telemedicine makes its first steps in Ukraine

Botkin.pro, which claims to be the first telemedicine service in Ukraine, started operating last month, as reported by Ukrainian tech blog AIN.UA.

The service offer includes online remote medical consultations by videoconferences with an online appointment booking system. It is now available on desktop computers and Android-powered devices. An iOS app will be launched by the end of the year.

“We aim to make Ukrainian medicine more accessible by implementing the telemedicine approach. We have applied the American and European experiences of remote consultations, taking into account the Ukrainian reality,” AIN.UA quoted Botkin.pro’s manager Vladislav Grin as saying.

In the future, the service may include offers involving laboratory diagnostic centers.
