Noosphere Ventures, a California-based venture fund with Ukrainian connections, has just announced that it has purchased assets of the US startup Waywire. The amount of the deal remains undisclosed.
Based in New York, the startup is a major provider of cloud-based video curation solutions to online publishing, non-profit, community and ad network markets.
The deal results in Noosphere Ventures gaining exclusive access to Waywire’s curated video solutions for GDM Group and its other marketing businesses.
Thanks to Waywire’s curated video solution, publishers will be able to monetize third party content, including that of YouTube and Dailymotion.
“Video curation is at the cutting edge of innovation in the marketing industry, and we are thrilled by the perspectives this deal opens up,” commented Tatyana Serdyuk, group head of marketing at Noosphere.
“Making online promotion more personal and relevant to users is improving the Internet as an environment, and that’s what Noosphere Venture Partners is all about,” she added.
