One of China’s largest manufacturers of smartphones and tablets, Huawei, will open an R&D center in Kyiv (Kiev). The news was reported earlier this month by Ukrainian online publication Liga Business which referred to Haojie Zhou, director at Huawei Ukraine.
So far, Huawei employs more than 450 people in Ukraine, according to Zhou.
The company continues investing in the country focusing primarily on three segments. These include consumer and enterprise electronics — from gadgets, to IT solutions and hardware.
According to Liga Business, the company has already hired some twenty people to work for its R&D center in Ukraine.
Earlier this year Huawei opened a service center in Ukraine.
