SendPulse, an AI-powered email marketing service provider, announced it had acquired its Turkish counterpart Mailto in late May. Although the amount of the transaction has not been disclosed, SendPulse’s co-founder and CEO Constantine Makarov told Ukraine Digital News that Mailto has been valued at $300,000.
“As we are focused on the emerging and fast-growing markets, Turkey is a key market for SendPulse. We are planning to enter Mexico and China soon,” commented Makarov.
“With our deep knowledge of these markets, we are confident in our capacity to quickly become a recognized player in Turkey. With our new office in Istanbul, we will help local clients get better conversion for their e-mail marketing campaigns,” he added.
As the result of the deal, Mailto’s team has joined SendPulse and transferred hundreds of its customers to the new platform. These include Galatasaray, Dubai Tatili, Çınar Group and Vizyon Yayıncılık.
SendPulse’s flagship product is an AI-powered email marketing platform which aims to improve conversion rates automatically by predicting the best time and channel to reach each client.
The majority of SendPulse’s team — 60 people — works in its Ukrainian R&D office located in Chernihiv (Chernihov), northern Ukraine. It is responsible for software development, technical support and marketing.
Headquartered in New York, the startup has offices in Brazil, Russia, Ukraine and now in Turkey. It was founded by Ukrainian and Russian entrepreneurs in 2015.
