The Polish venture capital firm bValue has launched its third fund, around $14 million, reports Ukrainian tech blog AIN.UA.
The new fund will invest at the seed stage in tech startups from Poland and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic states, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.
The fund already has representatives in several countries including Ukraine.
The fund will typically invest €100,000 in early stage startup and €1 million or more in more mature companies, reports AIN.
According to Ukrainian investor association UVCA, bValue is one of the most active investors in Ukraine. Among its portfolio companies are Spinbackup, a US cloud security startup with Ukrainian roots; Ukrainian-Polish fintech startup bNesis; and CallPage, a Polish startup with Ukrainian roots developing sales support software.
