In Davos, Ukraine House showcases the best of Ukraine with a focus on technology

This week for the third consecutive year Ukraine House Davos is offering attendees an opportunity to learn more about the country’s growing economy with a focus on its innovative technology industry.

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters is a major global gathering of the world’s top leaders who participate in collective activities to help define the global, regional and industry agendas in January of each year.

Ukraine House has a packed, week-long agenda of interesting panels, evening receptions, and cultural events for the business and political leaders who attend.

The opening discussion at the House was an inspirational talk titled “Women Leaders: Global Impact.” There will also be an invitation-only meeting of the National Investment Council of Ukraine chaired by President Volodymyr Zelensky as well as appearances by Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian filmmaker, writer and activist from Crimea; Andriy Kobolyev, CEO of Naftogaz; Amy Bernstein, editor of Harvard Business Review, and other notables.

The organizers aim to showcase the best of Ukraine and educate a global business audience to the opportunities available for investment and partnership.  Daily panel sessions are streamed live to the Ukraine House Facebook page and archived there.  The complete agenda is available at Ukraine House Davos.

“This is our biggest Ukraine House Davos to date,” said Lenna Koszarny, Founding Partner and CEO, Horizon Capital. “We have increased our platform by 10 times from a small venue of 30 sqm a few years ago, to nearly 300 sqm of dedicated space in 2020.”

The initiative is co-organized by the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA); the Victor Pinchuk Foundation; the US-backed Western NIS Enterprise Fund; and Horizon Capital, a major private equity investor. Ukraine Davos also received financial support from the National Investment Council of Ukraine, UkraineInvest, Ukrainian World Congress, The Atlantic Council and Reputation Institute.
