Revolut co-founder Vladyslav Yatsenko: “We’re going to create 100 new IT jobs in Ukraine”

This past September Revolut, the UK-headquartered fintech giant, registered a legal entity in Ukraine. Local tech blog AIN.UA, which reported the news, interviewed Revolut co-founder Vlad Yatsenko — a Ukrainian native — about their new office and their strategy for the Ukrainian market.

Yatsenko said he feels “proud of fact that Ukraine has so many developers.” He announced his intention to create, by the end of 2022, “100 new jobs for Ukrainian IT professionals to develop our global products,” essentially remotely. These new employees will come addition to existing Revolut teams in London, New York, Krakow, Berlin as well as Kyiv, Kharkiv, and other cities.

Asked whether he had plans to launch the Revolut financial services  in Ukraine, Yatensko said he didn’t have “any news” about it.
