An inside look into the EU’s €20 million program in support of Ukrainian startup

In June the European Commission launched a tender for a €20 million action in support of the Ukrainian innovation community. In the framework of the 2022 European Innovation Council (EIC) work program, the action will aim to support at least 200 Ukrainian tech start-ups with up to €60,000 each, in addition to various forms of non-financial support. Particular attention will be given to women entrepreneurship and solutions that will help Ukraine recover.

“This will enhance the capacity of Ukrainian innovators to interact with the European innovation ecosystem, enter new markets and benefit from the European financing instruments,” the European Commission stated.

Online publication EU-Startups spoke with Estonian tech entrepreneur and EIC board member Taavi Madiberk and TechUkraine director Nataly Veremeeva to find out more about this program.
