The UCU Foundation of the Ukrainian Catholic University has established an angel venture fund called Angel One Fund. It will “invest in Ukrainian founders with a global mindset,” says Angel One Fund’s website, covering such fields as edtech, fintech, SaaS and AI/ML
The average ticket size will range from $50,000 to $200,000 per startup at the pre-seed and seed stages.
“Over the past few years, we have been watching the Ukrainian startup industry growing rapidly,” with “more and more Ukrainian startups becoming successful on the global market,” Angel One Managing Partner Ivan Petrenko was quoted as saying?
“We believe that investments at the earliest stages (pre-seed) are exactly what our startup ecosystem lacks,” he added.
The new fund, which already attracted $1.5 million, is continuing its fund raising from domestic and foreign investors, reports Ukrainian tech blog AIN.
