Scanner Pro hits 6 million downloads

Scanner Pro, an app developed by leading Ukrainian app-developer Readdle that enables you to convert your iPhone or iPad into a mobile scanner, has reached 6-million downloads in the App Store.

Earlier this year, Apple identified the app as the “App of the Week” and named it an “Editor’s Choice” in 70 countries, which propelled it to the top of the app-charts in many countries.

Scanner Pro is an app that allows users to turn physical documents into PDF files by taking a photo. Users can then save, upload to Dropbox, Google Drive, or Evernote, email, or fax their documents.

The developers recently made the app free to install for a week, which led to 5 million downloads. The app typically cost $6.99 to download, but the price has been reduced to $2.99 in honor of this latest milestone.

Readdle, which is based in both the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa and San Francisco, released its first app, ReaddleDocs in 2008 and now counts 45 employees.
