Ukrainian startups will take part in Seedstars Ukraine, a nationwide competition, which will be held subsequently in Kyiv (Kiev) (September 15) and in Dnipro (formerly known as Dnipropetrovsk) (September 29).
The event already took place in Odessa on September 10.
The final race for regional winners will be held on October 7 in Kyiv (Kiev).
The contest is intended for young startups with a minimum viable product and less than $500,000 in investment, operating in such fields as space tech, edtech and fintech, among others.
The winner will be awarded with a two-week trip to Switzerland, a pitch at the final stage of the competition, as well as get the access to the club of more than 10,000 members for mentors, investors and entrepreneurs operating all over the world.
In addition, the winning Ukrainian startup will receive a $70,000 in-kind prize from Seedstars partners. The second and third winners will enjoy a $10,000 in-kind prize.
All projects involved in the contest will receive a wild-card to visit Switzerland.
Seedstars World is global competition for growing startups from emerging markets. Last year Seedstars World covered over 50 countries, with the involved startups raising more than $20 million in funding and creating more than 360 jobs all around the world.
The project aims to fight poverty and raise living standards in these countries by favoring investment in technologies and businesses.
