Apex VNT Limited, an international venture fund with offices in London and Kiev, has completed its first investment in the Ukrainian market, acquiring 10% of IT-outsourcing firm Epsy Soft for 2.3 million hryvnias (approximately $195,000).
In commenting on the deal, Apex VNT PR director Dmitry Chepur told Ukraine Digital News that this is merely their first move into the CIS, a region that they consider to be one of the most promising in the world.
Ukrainian specialists from Epsy Soft will complement their current work by strengthening the advisory team at Apex, assisting in the evaluation and analysis of applications submitted for consideration as potential investment targets.
Apex VNT Limited was created in 2013 with more than $100 million under management. Chepur told Ukraine Digital News that “there are no quotas in the international fund’s budget. If need be, all money will be invested in the CIS.”
Epsy Soft was founded in 2007 by Dmitriy Cherny, who also heads APEX VNT’s Kiev representation office.
