Tisk na Spletu, a provider of online printing solutions, has secured $1.2 million from Konstantin Puppo, a Ukrainian businessman from the printing industry, and an unnamed American investor. As reported by Ukrainian tech blog AIN.UA, the two investors will receive a 60% stake in Flyer Center, an innovative printing project which Tisk na Spletu intends to launch in the US market.
Flyer Center will use a technology developed in 2013 by Tisk na Spletu. Christened Printonline.tech, this technology automates all the stages of the online printing process, from ordering to delivering the printed material.
Flyer Center will leverage the capacities of a network of printing houses across the US to serve customers in a mere one day.
Managed by Ukrainian citizens Oleg Pleshchak (CEO), Ivan Dubrovin and Vyacheslav Plishkin, Tisk na Spletu operates from Slovenia, where the startup settled due to the restrictive Ukrainian legislation in the field of online transactions.
The Ukraino-Slovenian startup is competing with such giants as Vistaprint and Flyeralarm. “Every day these two companies combined put around 1 million euros in online promotion,” Dubrovin told AIN.UA.
