Held on Dec. 17 in Kyiv (Kiev), the “Synergy: IT Education & IT Industry” conference aims to “create an efficient platform for dialogue and strategic cooperation between government bodies, domestic and foreign universities as well as leading IT companies.”
The event — the larger of its kind in Ukraine — is organised by industry association IT Ukraine. Also supporting the event are regional IT associations and a range of Ukrainian and international high-tech firms.
Industry representatives will exchange views with educational institutions, government officials and IT education experts. Among the topics covered will be the recruitment issues, the adequation of the Ukrainian IT education system to industry needs, the ways to attract even more young Ukrainians to IT careers, and to improve education methods.
The event will also present the best international experience in these fields.
Last year the event attracted nearly 200 participants from Ukraine, Georgia, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland.
