IT legislation and taxation to be discussed in Kyiv conference (April 8)

On April 8, the Ukrainian capital will host the Ukraine Bar Association’s UBA Conference on IT Law — the first ever event dedicated to the legal aspects of IT business in Ukraine.

The conference will bring together representatives of major Ukrainian and international IT-related companies, IT lawyers, business security professionals, and experts from a number of industry associations.

“The global IT industry is developing much faster than its legal regulation in some countries — and this trend also affects in Ukraine. Businesses may take advantage of technologies, but they constantly face a number of challenges related to the legal regulations of IT industry,” comments Olha Prokopovych, legal advisor at Microsoft Ukraine.

The discussions will focus on the following topics:

  • Structuring an ІТ business in Ukraine and worldwide
  • Investing in an IT project
  • FinTech: e-money, cryptocurrency, blockchain
  • Domain name disputes
  • Contracts
  • Taxation
