Developers from Ukraine and other Eastern European countries are invited to a 48-hour international hackathon to develop new IT solutions for the aviation and travel industries. Hacker Games Pro: Aviation will be held at Vilnius Tech Park on April 28-30. More than 100 participants are expected.
Teams will work either independently or in cooperation with travel and aviation experts, entrepreneurs and other mentors. At the end of the hackathon, participants will pitch their projects to a board of jury.
The winner will be granted a free three-month residence at Vilnius Tech Park, including access to the park’s infrastructure and mentorship. The project may also raise initial investment from StartupHighway accelerator.
“This is the first aviation-related hackathon to be held in Lithuania. We are very proud that it will take place at Vilnius Tech Park. I truly believe that startups and technology enthusiasts have a lot to offer to the aviation industry, and this will be a great step forward to a closer cooperation between them,” said Vilnius Tech Park acting director Darius Zakaitis.
This is the second event of the Hacker Games Pro hackathon series. In total, at least four hackathons, uniting startups, innovation enthusiasts and large companies, and covering different sectors of innovation, will be organised at Lithuania’s Vilnius Tech Park this year.
The event is supported by Small Planet Airlines and Startup Lithuania.
