The Defense Ministry and Microsoft Ukraine have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, the ministry’s press service reported earlier this week.
The parties intend to cooperate in implementating state-of-the art information technologies in the defense sector, taking into account the NATO standards and approaches.
“According to the Defense Ministry’s IT Department, the cooperation involves Microsoft’s experience in cooperating with the armed forces of the NATO member states, the European Union and the United States. [The fields covered by the memorandum are] the protection of of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s IT infrastructure, the introduction of defense information systems [at a high level of] reliability, and support in training of the IT specialists from the Ministry,” the ministry stated.
