Up from $2.5 billion in 2015, the export volume of Ukraine’s software development and IT services reached $3.6 billion in 2017, says local industry association IT Ukraine in its overview of the industry released in late 2017.
According to the association, the IT industry is the third industry, after food industry ($15.2 billion) and metallurgy ($8.2 billion), by the export volume in the country.
IT services account for 3.4% of the Ukrainian GDP.
According to the overview, the industry is expected to reach some $8.4 billion in the export volume by 2025.
