Last week Ajax Systems, a Ukrainian company that sells smart security systems in 90 countries in the world, announced the acquisition of the engineering team of Concepter, a design and product development studio.
The Concepter developers will become members of Ajax’s various R&D teams.
“We’ve added the Concepter developers to the Ajax Systems team to boost our growth and engineering capabilities. The Concepter specialists have plenty of experience in handling complex custom projects. We’re excited that they will continue creating cool products with us,” commented Ajax Systems CEO Aleksandr Konotopskyi.
“Our global goal is to find talent and create a new engineering elite in the country. We want to double our R&D by the end of the year,” he added.
Recently, Ajax Systems announced the opening of a new R&D office in Vinnytsia. The company’s other two R&D offices are located in Kharkiv and Kyiv (Kiev).
Ajax Systems claims to “stand against evil,” creating innovative devices that “operate in the most extreme conditions” and “protect against tragedy.” For example, in the field of indoor security, Ajax devices immediately detect door opening, window breaking, and the presence of trespassers on the premises, while its MotionCam detectors can see the reason for a motion alarm.
In 2019, Horizon Capital, a US-registered, Kyiv-based private equity fund, invested $10 million to buy Ajax System shares.
An award-winning product design and engineering studio, Concepter “builds products that maximize the impression on people and minimize the impact on the planet.” It has over 20 products in its portfolio, including international hits Nect, iBlazr 2, Nuka, and iGlam.
