Ukrainian VCs back Belarusian creative video editing startup Vochi

The Ukrainian venture capital firm TA Ventures and private investor club ICLUB have participated in the latest funding round of Vochi, reports AIN.UA.

The Belarusian start-up raised $2.4 million in total in this late-stage round. Other investors include Angelsdeck, A.Partners, Startup Wise Guys and Kolos VC.

Vochi has developed an app for creative video editing, leveraging a “unique computer-vision based technology.” Neural networks are used to enable the addition of effects to individual objects in a video on a mobile device – “in real time and without quality loss,” says the startup.

The app is aimed at social media influencers and content creators who constantly generate content for social media, and want this content to stand out. Vochi is also intended for creative people – virtually any smartphone user – who like to create fun videos and share those with friends.

Vochi’s previous round — $1.5 million secured in May 2020 — was led by Kyiv-based venture fund Genesis Investments.
