Genesis Investments to co-invest $100,000 in Y Combinator startups from Ukraine and Belarus

Ukrainian venture firm Genesis Investments will invest $100,000 in startups going through Y Combinator this year with Ukrainian or Belarusian roots.

As reported by AIN.UA, Genesis Investment will invest on similar terms as Y Combinator under SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) agreements.

Genesis Investments is a Ukrainian early-stage venture capital fund investing in seed-stage tech startups from Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic states. Launched in 2018 as the in-house startup fund of Genesis, a Kyiv-based product IT company, the fund has made some 15 investments since then with tickets ranging from $100,000 and $1 million.

One of the fund’s latest deals involved Adapty, a US mobile subscription startup with Ukrainian roots. US accelerator 500 Startups and Russian-connected fund AdFirst.VC also took part in the round.
