Ukrainian startup aims to revolutionize sport facility booking across the world

A team from Dnipro, a city of Central Ukraine formerly known as Dnipropetrovsk, has created “first global booking platform for sport facilities and sport teams.” Dubbed Smartsport, the platform covers a variety of disciplines (including swimming, water polo, weightlifting, gymnastics, martial arts, tennis, and football), with 500 sport facilities made available in almost 20 countries, mostly in Europe.

Global contest Seedstars to showcase the best Ukrainian startups

US neuroscience startup Thync launches R&D in Ukraine

Last month California-based startup Thync launched an R&D center in Dnipro, a large industrial city in the south-central part of Ukraine (formerly know as Dnipropetrovsk), to develop mobile products, reported Ukrainian tech blog AIN.UA. Thync’s electronic wearable device stimulates nerves with low-level electrical pulses to change a person’s state of mind. The device works by neurostimulation techniques such as TENS and tDCS, according to the company.
