US industry association IAOP has just released a new edition of its annual Global Outsourcing 100 ranking to identify what it judges to be the best IT outsourcing service providers in the world.
This year’s ranking, unlike for the previous editions, features “companies that have led the development of the industry, as reflected in their place on the past GO100 lists.” Instead of accepting and reviewing new applications, the association has identified the companies which “have been at the top of the GO100 for a decade” as well as those which “have distinguished themselves by evolving from ‘rising stars’ to ‘leaders’” in the previous rankings.
(The rankings of the previous years were based on what the IAOP believes to be the best companies in each of five judging categories: size and growth, customer references, awards and certifications, programs for innovation, and corporate social responsibility.)
Also featured are “advisory firms that have been launched and become leaders over this period.”
As noted by local industry resource DOU.UA, 17 IT firms headquartered or operating in Ukraine are featured in IAOP’s new ranking. These include:

- SoftServe (6,000 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in Lviv)
- Ciklum (2,800 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in Kyiv)
- Infopulse (1,800 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in Kyiv)
- ELEKS (1,300 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in Lviv)
- Intellias (1,200 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in Lviv)
- Sigma Software (900 IT specialists, company headquarters in Kharkiv)
- N-iX (900 IT specialists, company headquarters in Lviv)
- Miratech (800 IT specialists, company headquarters in Kyiv)
- AMC Bridge (500 IT specialists, company headquarters in Dnipro)
- Softengi (200 IT specialists, company headquarters in Lviv)
- Program-Ace (100 IT specialists, company headquarters in Kharkiv)
Six companies with teams in Ukraine but headquartered in another country:
- EPAM (a company with Belarusian roots with 6,600 IT specialists employed in Ukraine and headquarters in the USA)
- Luxoft (a company with Russian roots with 3,900 IT specialists employed in Ukraine and headquarters in Switzerland)
- Svitla Systems (500 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in the USA)
- TEAM International Services (300 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in the USA)
- Intetics (300 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in the USA)
- Softjourn (100 IT specialists employed in Ukraine, company headquarters in the USA)
Absent from this year’s synthesis are Itera and Artezio, even though these companies appeared in rankings from the previous years.
The Ukrainian IT service market was highlighted in two recent industry reports.
